First, the risk factors in the process of stamping work

According to the analysis of the general causes of stamping accidents, the accidents in stamping work are mainly caused by the following reasons:

1. The danger caused by the structure of the punch itself.

At present, the vast majority of punching machines still use rigid clutches. Once the clutch connection runs, a stamping cycle must be completed before the slider stops running. If the punch worker's hand can't be taken out of the die in time in the process of down punching, there will be an accident of punching hand injury.

2. Failure occurred in the stamping process

During the operation of the punch press, it will produce shock and vibration, and the parts of the punch press will be deformed, worn or even broken for a long time, which will lead to the loss of control of the punch press and the phenomenon of continuous punching, which is a very dangerous situation.

3. The switch of the punching machine is faulty

The switch of the punch machine fails due to man-made or long-term lack of maintenance, which leads to failure in the stamping process.

4. Unreasonable design of stamping die

Stamping die is the foundation of producing stamping parts. Unreasonable design of stamping die will greatly increase the possibility of stamping accidents. Normal stamping die will also wear, deform or be damaged with the increase of service time, which will lead to accidents.

Second, the stamping operation safety technical measures

1. Stamping safety tools must be used.

In the stamping process, use safety tools to put the product blank into the die and take out the stamped product and waste, so as to realize off-die operation, avoid putting hands directly into the die and ensure the safety of workers.

2. Protection of working area of stamping die

(1) Install protective devices around the stamping die.

(2) Reasonable design of the die reduces the dangerous area of the stamping die.

(3) Design automatic or mechanical feeding.

3. Safety protection of punching machine

(1) Mechanical protection

Pushing hands. This is a protective device which is linked with the slide block of the punch press and pushes the worker's hand away from the die opening through the swing of the baffle.

Swing arm protector. It is a device that uses the lever principle to push the hand away.

Handle safety device. It is a device that uses pulleys, levers and ropes to link workers' hand movements with slider movements.

(2) Double-switch control system

The slider will only be activated when both hands of the punch press the two buttons at the same time. This completely eliminates the possibility that the worker will put his hand into the mold and the punch will start.

(3) security grating

The punch with safety grating is equivalent to forming a protected area for the whole dangerous area. When workers enter the protected area with safety grating, the punch cannot be started.
